The Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, Noureddine Ouadah, affirmed that the 4e edition of the African Start-up Conference, scheduled for December 6 to 8 in Algiers, will constitute an important step in strengthening African cooperation in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship.
In a speech delivered Tuesday evening during a meeting organized by the ministry with the ambassadors of African countries accredited to Algeria, as part of the ongoing preparations for this continental event, Mr. Ouadah underlined the importance of the conference and its role in the creation of a continental ecosystem conducive to the development of innovation and entrepreneurship, calling on the ambassadors to promote this event, said a press release from the ministry.
On this occasion, a detailed presentation was given on the themes and objectives of the conference, which will offer a rich program including a ministerial conference, a summit bringing together decision-makers and major entrepreneurs from the continent, and a day dedicated to the African diaspora, in coordination with the Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for the National Community Abroad.
The conference will also be marked by the organization of several parallel events, in collaboration with different ministerial departments and international organizations, according to the same source.
In addition to the African ambassadors to Algeria, the meeting took place in the presence of representatives of international organizations, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Algeria and senior state officials, including the advisor to the President of the Republic in charge of the General Directorate of Communication, the advisor to the Prime Minister and the Chief of Staff of the Secretary of State in charge of the National Community Abroad.
The African Start-up Conference is an important continental event aimed at promoting the entrepreneurial spirit and enabling young people to launch innovative projects capable of strengthening the continent’s place in the global economy.
