On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the outbreak of the Liberation Revolution, the Ministry of Housing is planning “a large-scale distribution of housing throughout the country”. This was stated in a press release from the ministry on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Housing announced, via a press release, the preparation of a “vast housing distribution operation in different formulas and throughout the national territory”, scheduled for November 1, in celebration of the Revolution.
The preparations were, in advance, the subject of a videoconference meeting bringing together walis, chaired by the secretary general of the Ministry of the Interior, Mahmoud Djemaa, in the presence of his counterpart from the Ministry of Housing, Said Attia. This meeting, as the press release indicates, was dedicated to finalizing the lists of programs concerned, so that “distribution is ready for the set date, coinciding with November 1, 2025”.
During this meeting, “the need to ensure the availability of all the necessary conditions and infrastructure on the sites concerned by the handover of housing for the benefit of citizens” was recalled, the same source noted.
For the record, last year, the Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and the City had already launched “the distribution of more than 100,000 housing units, all options combined, across the national territory”, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of November 1, according to information provided by the authority.
In the same dynamic, he reiterated the sector’s commitment to “realize the five-year 2024-2029 program of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which provides for the construction of 2 million housing units in all the wilayas”. The minister then indicated that this objective would be pursued “using a scientific and practical approach, implemented from the start of 2025”.
