Algeria will host, on November 4, 2025, the new edition of the International Seminar on the fight against counterfeiting and intellectual property, a strategic meeting bringing together the main national authorities, international institutions and economic actors engaged in the protection of intellectual property rights, cultural heritage and innovation.
Placed under the patronage of the Ministries of Culture and Arts, Tourism and Crafts, Posts and Telecommunications, as well as the Ministry of the Economy and Start-ups, this 2025 edition will focus on a topical theme:
“Dangers and solutions in the fight against counterfeiting”
Organized by the MAP firm and INOV EXPORT, in partnership with national and international organizations such as CREA, WIPO, and INAPI, AVERDET, the delegation of the European Union, ONDA, customs, the seminar will offer a unique space for exchange, reflection and regional cooperation on emerging challenges linked to counterfeiting, fraud and the preservation of intangible heritage.
A rich and multidisciplinary program:
This high-level day will bring together representatives of ministries, regulatory authorities, customs, the judiciary, start-ups and rights-holding companies around central themes. A closing gala under the sign of creativity and the influence of Algerian know-how On the evening of November 4, from 7:30 p.m., the Moufdi Zakaria Palace of Culture in Algiers will host the official Gala of the seminar, marking the launch of the national “Export’Art” competition. This competition aims to reveal, professionalize and support Algerian artists, artisans and creators in their international influence, thus contributing to the promotion of local know-how and the cultural economy.
The winners will benefit from a certifying masterclass and an “Export’Art” label, awarded by a jury made up of national and international institutions.
Surprises are expected throughout the evening, dedicated to the promotion of Algerian tangible and intangible heritage. Guests are invited to attend this event in traditional dress, a symbol of identity and national pride.
A national and international commitment
Through this initiative, the organizers reaffirm their ambition to position Algeria as a regional reference center in anti-counterfeiting cooperation, the protection of intangible heritage and the promotion of cultural and artisanal know-how. n
