An Israeli infantry unit crossed the blue line in the Kroum al-Marah sector, on the outskirts of the town of Meiss el-Jabal, Lebanon. In response the Lebanese army deployed reinforcements to the area, the Israeli infantry unit then retreated back to Israeli territory.
Head of Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea expresses his objection to the Lebanese President’s request to the army commander, Rudolp Haykal to confront any Israeli incursion into lebanese territory:
“I am against this matter. Things are not measured like this. There must be a balance of power before undertaking any military action.”
