The Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, chaired, the day before yesterday Tuesday, a working meeting devoted to monitoring the implementation of investment contracts concluded within the framework of the 4th edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF-2025), organized in Algiers from September 4 to 10. This meeting, held in the presence of several economic operators and representatives of national companies, is part of the continuity of the efforts undertaken by the Government to transform the commitments made during this continental event into concrete projects on the ground, indicates a press release from the Prime Minister’s services.
During the work, participants presented detailed presentations on the nature of the contracts signed with African partners, highlighting the sectors concerned and the levels of progress of the projects resulting from these agreements. These discussions made it possible to draw up an initial assessment of the results recorded since the close of the fair, as well as to identify the obstacles encountered in the realization of certain commitments. Business representatives and economic operators also made several proposals aimed at strengthening State support for investment. They insisted on the need for increased institutional support in order to accelerate the implementation of projects and consolidate Algeria’s economic presence in the African space. For many of them, regular monitoring of these partnerships will not only ensure their success, but also promote more sustainable and balanced cooperation with the countries of the continent. In his speech, the Prime Minister recalled the orientations of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who gives a central place to national investment and the strengthening of strategic partnerships with African countries.
He stressed that these directives are part of a global vision aimed at building a balanced, inclusive and sustainable development model. In accordance with these guidelines, Mr. Ghrieb reaffirmed the Government’s determination to promote the spirit of economic initiative and to create a climate favorable to growth and innovation. He also highlighted the executive’s desire to further support national companies in their expansion efforts in Africa, believing that the diversification of the national economy necessarily requires a more assertive positioning on the continental market.
Through this meeting, the Government reaffirms its desire to engage in intra-
Africa a strategic lever for the economic development of the country and for the consolidation of Algeria’s role as a major player in the South-South partnership.
