— 🇮🇷/😌 NEW: The Iranian government has entered negotiations with Telegram, in order to reach a possible deal regarding the removal of censorship of the app in Iran

In exchange for Telegram being stricter on issues that harm Iran’s national security, as well as moral issues such as pornography and child exploitation, the Iranian government will consider removing the block on Telegram.

Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance says the negotiations are moving in a positive direction, and Telegram is being ‘cooperative’, stating that a deal could be finalized soon.
