“Algeria will remain strong thanks in particular to the union of its children”
Vibrant tribute to the martyrs of the glorious National Liberation Revolution of El Djeich
In its editorial entitled ”Our unity, source of our strength”, the magazine El Djeich affirmed in its November issue published the day before yesterday, that Algeria will remain strong thanks in particular to the union of its children. Recalling that the history of our country is rich in luminous landmarks and memorable facts which have brought glory and pride to Algeria and outlined the contours of its future. “One of the notable events was the outbreak of the glorious Liberating Revolution, on November 1, 1954, the 71st anniversary of which we commemorate this year, described as an eternal epic whose chapters were written in golden letters by the fighting Algerian people and which will remain forever engraved in the annals of the History of humanity as one of the greatest liberating revolutions whose echo resonated throughout the world,” we read through this editorial.
It is, notes the same source, a Revolution led by the Algerian people, whose bravery, genius, faith in the justice of its cause, its unfailing determination to make all sacrifices for the recovery of national sovereignty to wrest its freedom and independence were its major weapon to lead the fight to the end. “God has endowed our country with men, sincere patriots, who sacrificed what they had dearest and most precious for the Fatherland, who, through their feats of arms and their exploits, entered posterity and the memory of successive generations,” continued the same source.
Stressing that national unity is the essential pillar and guarantee of the preservation of the Homeland, as well as the consolidation of the foundations of its security, stability and rebirth.
While we celebrate this occasion dear to our hearts, as much as it constitutes an opportunity for us to summon the values and principles of our glorious ancestors, their great qualities as well as our pride in what they accomplished, added the same source, we are also called to preserve their legacy and continue on their path, fully aware that they only triumphed and achieved their objective through the consolidation of their unity, their cohesion and their solidarity, for a single objective: the recovery of sovereignty national.
“These are the same values that all Algerians carry today and that they defend,” notes the editorial, citing as proof their strong mobilization and their massive participation in the reforestation campaign which encompassed the entire national territory on October 25.
These initiatives, further indicated the same source, constitute an eminently significant message, addressed to the whole world, and which says “we are one body and one heart, our unity cements our foundations and strengthens our determination to move forward to build a new victorious, strong, prosperous and secure Algeria”, this in particular in light of the tensions and disturbances which prevail on the regional and international scenes, the apparent or hidden plots of which our country is the target and malicious plans aimed at undermining the security, stability of our country and the tranquility of our people.
In this regard, further notes the editorialist, Mr. President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense stressed: “On this seventy-first anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious Liberating Revolution, while we celebrate with pride the glorious successes of the generations who led incessant battles across Algeria, we make loyalty to their sacrifices a source of unshakeable determination and a veritable breeding ground where a collective consciousness linked to our glorious History – the compass that guides us – is nourished. Recalling that at this crucial moment, Algeria is committed to consolidating the foundations of the nascent nation-state and instilling a unifying national spirit among loyal patriots and dynamic energies, particularly among the youth, in order to ensure the resilience of the country in the face of the turbulence of our regional sphere and the intense conflicts and divisions that the world is witnessing today.
