Tebboune décide d’une augmentations du SMIG et de la prime du chômage – Le Jeune Indépendant


The President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune has instructed the Minister of Finance to prepare a project aimed at raising the national minimum wage as well as unemployment benefit, announced a press release from the Council of Ministers held this Sunday.

This decision follows a recent commitment by President Tebboune to review the increase in salaries and the unemployment bonus so that it meets the needs of a large segment of society, particularly the unemployed from 2026.

The National Guaranteed Minimum Wage (SNMG) in Algeria is set at 20,000 dinars while the unemployment bonus has been set at 13,000 DA. Unemployment benefit is paid for six months, renewable once

This revision should also have an impact on retirement pensions.
