L’UPA appelle à une mobilisation internationale – Le Jeune Indépendant

The Arab Parliamentary Union (UPA) denounced the continuation of violations committed by the Zionist occupation authority in the Palestinian territories, in particular the repeated attacks against the Al-Aqsa mosque esplanade. The text, signed by Ibrahim Boughali, president of the National People’s Assembly (APN) and current president of the UPA, denounces a dangerous escalation and calls on the international community to assume its responsibilities. This was stated yesterday in a press release from the APN.

The same source refers to “serious and continuing violations” targeting Palestinian civilians, but also holy sites. The UPA condemns the incursions carried out by the Zionist entity and Israeli extremist groups into the Al-Aqsa compound, described as attempts aimed at “destroying the religious, historical and civilizational character” of the site. The organization emphasizes that these actions constitute a flagrant violation of international law and Security Council resolutions.

The Union warns of a spiral of violence which removes any prospect of a just and lasting solution. She insists on the importance for the Zionist occupier to respect its commitments, in particular those linked to the legal status of Al Quds and the holy places. The press release also recalls that any attack on the religious and cultural character of the Holy City calls into question the very foundations of regional stability.

The UPA calls on international organizations, parliaments, NGO A non-governmental organization (NGO) is a non-profit association of public interest, which does not come under the control of the State or international institutions. and civil society to take a stand, affirming that their silence only reinforces impunity. The objective, indicates the press release, is to defend the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the right to self-determination and the creation of an independent state with Al Quds-East as its capital.

The Union finally reaffirms its “constant and unwavering support” for the Palestinian people and calls for concrete actions to put an end to violations, prosecute those responsible and guarantee respect for Palestinian national rights. It is committed to continuing to mobilize Arab parliaments, international bodies and Islamic organizations in favor of the Palestinian cause.

For the UPA, the defense of Palestine remains a political and moral priority, while the tensions in Al-Quds demonstrate, once again, the extreme fragility of the situation and the urgency of international intervention.

It should be noted that the Zionist genocidal aggression against the Gaza Strip has left 69,483 martyrs and 170,706 injured, mostly women and children, since October 7, 2023, according to a new report communicated yesterday by the Palestinian health authorities. The bodies of 17 martyrs as well as three wounded were transferred to hospitals in Gaza over the past 72 hours, said the same source, noting that the bodies of many victims are still under the rubble.

Since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, 2025, 266 Palestinians have been martyred and 635 others have been injured, while the bodies of 548 martyrs have been recovered, added the same source.
