La traque des auteurs complotistes des incendies de Tipasa est lancée

The hunt for the conspiratorial perpetrators of the Tipasa fires is launched

The Head of State orders the opening of an in-depth investigation

The aftermath of the sad Tizi-Ouzou fires of 2021 has once again revived the spirit of Algerians. It is clearly visible that the criminal perpetrators who are behind the start of the forest fires which recently and simultaneously affected the coastal wilaya of Tipasa and nine other wilayas in the country, acted by the effect of surprise and in the same way as those of the year 2021 in Tizi-Ouzou which caused around a hundred victims. The conspiratorial arsonists knew perfectly well that the guard of the elements of Civil Protection and the forest guards would be lowered in November after a long battle against the fires observed during the summer season 2025, during which more than 4,000 fires were neutralized.
The 29 fires which simultaneously ravaged the forests of several communes in the west of the city of Tipasa and nine other wilayas of the country last Thursday and Friday, which destroyed nearly 191 hectares of forest areas and fruit trees and caused the evacuation of several hundred families from their homes due to the intensity and immensity of the forest fires, are, without a doubt, planned in advance from abroad.
This is the same method applied to Tipasa and nine other wilayas by conspiracy arsonists in relation to the fires of 2021 in Tizi-Ouzou during which 100 victims were deplored and significant damage was caused to flora and fauna.
Fortunately, this time no casualties were reported apart from damage caused to the forest surface and fruit trees.
These new forest fires which recently took place in the wilaya of Tipasa alongside nine other wilayas are the work of conspiracy theorists. In the aftermath of these serious fires, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune and during the meeting of the Council of Ministers ordered, the day before yesterday Sunday, the opening of an in-depth investigation into the forest fires which affected several wilayas of the country last weekend to trace the circumstances of these tragedies and track, or even unmask, the criminal perpetrators.
An investigation which will be delivered to expert gendarmes from the National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science of Bouchaoui (Algiers), gendarmes specializing in fire investigations. While waiting for what the expert gendarmes’ investigation will reveal, the families evacuated as a preventive measure, following the fires which ravaged the forests of several communes in the west of Tipasa last Thursday and Friday, returned, yesterday Monday, to their homes “in good conditions”, after the extinguishing of the fires, this was announced yesterday, Sunday, by the wilaya services.
On the instructions of the wali of Tipasa, Mohamed Amine Benchaoulia, the authorities of the daïras of Cherchell and Gouraya closed yesterday the centers open for the temporary accommodation of families as a preventive measure, while units of the National Gendarmerie were mobilized to secure the homes during the absence of their occupants.
At the same time, the veterinary inspection of the Directorate of Agriculture took care of the injured animals, while the municipal hygiene commissions ensured the burial of the dead animals. For its part, the wilaya technical commission continues its field trips, in the company of the heads of the daïras and the presidents of the municipalities concerned, in order to assess the damage, particularly concerning agricultural operations, animal resources and forest heritage.
The wilaya services also affirmed the commitment of the public authorities to compensate farmers for the losses suffered in agricultural harvests and livestock, in addition to the launch of vast reforestation operations to compensate for the damage caused to the forest cover, after the completion of the investigations undertaken on the ground.
Furthermore, the wali of Tipasa adopted several measures following a meeting devoted to the assessment of the fires and the monitoring of forest fire prevention and fight programs.
These include the organization of regular campaigns to clean forest areas, the establishment of a list of the wilaya’s needs for rapid intervention equipment and the opening of trails along electricity and gas lines crossing forest areas. Let us remember, nearly 191 hectares of forest areas and fruit trees were destroyed in the fires which broke out last Thursday and Friday in four communes in western Tipasa, according to statements by the wali of Tipasa. Also, the commissions of inquiry engaged in the field have not noted any other notable loss, particularly concerning homes.
