Justice: digitalization

Traveling in the wilaya of Skikda, Mr. Lotfi Boudjemaâ, Minister of Justice, Minister of Justice, declared that his department has made significant progress in the digitization process.
On the sidelines of the inspection of a project relating to the study and construction of a rehabilitation establishment in the daïra of Azzaba, wilaya of Skikda, Mr. Lotfi Boudjemaâ specified at the start of his working visit to the wilaya of Skikda, that this significant progress in digitalization is the result of the adoption of effective electronic systems facilitating the various administrative and judicial operations. Regarding the recruitment process, the minister indicated that it “is taking place at a sustained pace in the justice sector which gives priority to new judicial structures, while ensuring the strengthening of those which are operational”. On the sidelines of the inauguration of the El Harrouch court, the minister welcomed “the initiative of the defense family in Skikda which recently created an organization of lawyers in the wilaya”, considering it as “a qualitative contribution capable of supporting judicial work at the local level”. Referring to electronic justice, Mr. Boudjemaâ called on lawyers to “actively engage” in this approach because of the “advantages it brings to modernize the judicial service and facilitate services”. Regarding the draft organic law establishing the status of the judiciary, the minister recalled that it represents “one of the commitments of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to improve the professional framework and take increased interest in the human resources of the sector in order to strengthen the performance of justice”. At the headquarters of the Court of Skikda, the minister listened to an exhaustive presentation on the activities of this judicial institution, where he gave a series of instructions around the need to
“prioritize and facilitate conditional release, particularly for minor offenses, as well as study and handle complaints from citizens.” The Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, who was accompanied, during this visit, by ministry executives, visited and inspected several projects and structures within his sector. In short, digitalization is the use of digital technologies in business to transform the way organizations work and deliver value. It involves the use of digital tools to improve efficiency, streamline workflows and encourage digital innovation.
