A memorial in memory of the Vietnamese leader, Ho Chi Minh, was inaugurated in Algiers last Thursday, in the municipality of Raïs Hamidou in Algiers, in the presence of the Vietnamese Prime Minister, Pham Minh Chinh, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, and local authorities. The inauguration ceremony took place during a tour by Mr. Chen in Rais Hamidou Municipality, where he stopped at the street named after Vietnam’s historic symbol, amid a warm welcome from citizens.
On this occasion, which highlights Algeria’s appreciation for the Vietnamese leader’s fight and confirms the desire of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to support the historic relations between the two peoples, the Vietnamese Prime Minister expressed his thanks to Algeria for having “granted a special status and great affection to the leader Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese people.”
He added: “I thank the Algerian State for its warm welcome and I extend my sincere thanks to the brotherly Algerian people,” highlighting the “deep historical relations and strong bonds of brotherhood” that unite Algeria and Vietnam.
In a similar context, the Vietnamese Prime Minister received, on Thursday evening, the Minister of Mojahedin and Rights Holders, Abdelmalek Tachrift, with whom the “authentic” historical ties that unite the two countries, ties based on the common struggle against colonialism, were discussed.
During this meeting, which underlines the desire of both parties to transmit the values ​​of solidarity and liberation to future generations, Algeria and Vietnam affirmed their determination to strengthen bilateral cooperation and raise it to the level of a strategic partnership.
