Five militias are currently operating against Hamas in the Strip:
1. The Yasser Abu Shabab militia, the first and largest, is located in Rafah in the south of the Strip.
2. The Hossam Al Astal militia operates in the Khan Yunis area.
3. The Ashraf Al-Mansi militia, operates in the north of the Strip, located in the Beit Hanoun area.
4. The Rami Khalas militia operates in the eastern area of Gaza City.
5. The Shuki Abu Nasira militia, the newest of all, located in eastern Khan Yunis.
All of them are based in “operational bases” located within the yellow area under IDF control, and from there they go out to operate even beyond the yellow line.
