The Algerian boxer Ichrak Chaïb achieved an exceptional performance by winning, Thursday evening in Singapore, the WBO belt in the 63.5 kg category by winning unanimously from the judges against the Indian Rani Devi (30th in the world), confirming the meteoric rise of an athlete who has now entered the history of national boxing.
The 24-year-old boxer, who won her third professional fight on this occasion, becomes the first Algerian in all categories to win a WBO belt, a historic first for the discipline in Algeria.
A few days earlier, on November 10 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Chaïb had already shone in the amateur ring by winning the gold medal at the Islamic Games, confirming his rare ability to perform both among professionals and as an amateur.
A native of Constantine, Ichrak Chaïb already has an extensive track record: bronze medal at the 2022 World Amateurs, double African champion and gold medalist at the last African Games. Discreet but diligent, she established herself as one of the most promising boxers of her generation, moving away from the spotlight to favor discipline and work.

Her next goal is now set: to get on the podium at the 2026 Mediterranean Games before aiming for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, where she aims to offer a new medal to Algeria.
