Une laitière clandestine démantelée à Douéra

An illegal milkmaid dismantled in Douéra

Milk and derivatives unfit for consumption

The Ouled-Mendil gendarmes of the Douéra Territorial Brigade under the National Gendarmerie Group of Algiers, have just dismantled a clandestine dairy, while putting an end to the serious actions of a criminal network which modified the expiry dates of food products, but above all which clandestinely manufactured cheese based on expired ingredients of unknown origins before selling them in the commune of Douéra and its surroundings, This was announced yesterday, Sunday, in a press release from the National Gendarmerie.
The gendarmes’ operation, we read in the same press release, took place after the provision of judicious information reporting the existence of a storage shed for expired powdered milk. In coordination with the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office and the services of the Commerce Directorate of the said commune, a raid, specifies the press release from the National Gendarmerie, was carried out by the Ouled-Mendil gendarmes reporting to the Douéra Territorial Brigade. During this muscular intervention, the gendarmes noted that this shed did not have the necessary administrative documents and that it was indeed an illegal milkmaid. On site, the gendarmes discovered a batch of expired food products, including 400 sachets of expired powdered milk, expired cheese products, 660 kilograms of expired raw materials, 25 packaging boxes as well as 175 sachets of sodium powder and fake tablets, reports the same source. The accused will be referred later to the competent judicial authority, concluded the gendarmes’ press release.
On the other hand, just a few kilometers from Douéra and more precisely in the commune of Ouled-Fayet, only four days ago, a criminal gang targeting the drivers of “Yassir” was dismantled by the gendarmes of the Ouled-Fayet Territorial Brigade.
According to a press release from the gendarmes, the services of the Territorial Group of the National Gendarmerie of Ouled Fayet put an end to the activity of a mainly very aggressive criminal gang. This gang specializes in assaulting and stealing vehicles from drivers using transport applications, notably “Yassir”.
The case, recently examined by the Chéraga court, concerns eight members of the same gang, five of whom were placed under arrest warrant, accused of having organized several ambush operations targeting isolated drivers. The last offense committed by the criminal gang dates back five days ago. In a very late night, last Tuesday November 18, a victim, or even an assistant notary working in parallel as a driver on the “Yassir” application, received a transport order placed by a young woman. The journey was to connect Ouled Fayet to Zéralda, around 11:30 p.m. Arriving at his destination, the driver falls into an ambush: three members of this gang appear, forcefully extract him from his car, beat him up and seize his vehicle, before fleeing towards the wilaya of Tizi Ouzou. The car will be found later in the region by the Bouira gendarmes. Recounting what happened to him, the victim explained to the investigating gendarmes that the order had clearly been used as a baiting ploy, a practice now common among certain criminal gangs specializing in targeting private drivers. The criminals’ methods of employment are different but the objective is the same: to have money at all costs.
