Vladimir Petkovic previously announced that none of his players that he will take for the CAN 2025 (December 21 – January 18) in Morocco will be authorized to play the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup (December 1 – 18) in Qatar. Thus, with his presence on the EN A’ list for the Qatari tournament, one might think that Adil Boulbina will not be there for the Moroccan event.
However, it may be an exception. This Monday, Boulbina was in demonstration with Al Duhail SC (Qatar) against Al Ittihad FC (Saudi Arabia). The Algerian scored a superb hat-trick in the AFC Champions League (Asia) during the 4-2 success, showing the kind of impact he can potentially bring to the A national team. If this list is not sent seven days before kick-off, the selection will be limited to 21 players only. As of December 11, the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup will still be underway. We will have finished with the first round of the challenge. Algeria will play its last match of the group stage on the 9th of the said month. And we can’t help but think that if Boulbina shines, it’s not unlikely that Petkovic will definitely tick his name. He who appears on the extended list.
