A fact-finding mission from the APN

Mascara

An information mission from the Commission for Culture, Communication and Tourism of the National People’s Assembly (APN) arrived on Tuesday in the wilaya of Mascara to inquire about the situation in these sectors, indicated the wilaya’s communications unit.
The first stage of this visit, led by MP Messaoud Karma, consisted of a meeting with the wali of Mascara, Fouad Aïssi, during which a detailed presentation on the state of the culture, arts and tourism sectors was presented, highlighting the tourist and historical potential available to the wilaya.
In his intervention, Mr. Karma stressed that this visit aims to ensure field monitoring of the situation of the culture, arts and tourism sectors in the region, and to strengthen the coordination mechanisms between the APN and local authorities.
For his part, Wali Fouad Aïssi affirmed that local authorities are working to implement a vision of global development, integrating several sectors, in order to promote the assets of the wilaya, improve services intended for citizens and support the local economy.
During the four days of the mission, members of the parliamentary delegation will visit several historical and archaeological sites in Mascara, notably Zemala of Emir Abdelkader (itinerant capital) in the commune of Sidi Kada, the command house of this national figure in the capital of the wilaya, as well as the site of the Primitive Man of Tighennif in the commune of the same name, and the two Roman cities Ouasiranis (Bouhanifia) and El Miliaria (El Bennian).
The program also includes a visit to several cultural infrastructures, such as the “Abi Rass Ennaceri” House of Culture, the “Dr Yahia Bouaziz” main public reading library, the Bachir-Zehaf Regional Theater and the “Es-Saâada” cinema hall in Mascara.
The delegation will also evaluate the tourist services offered by the Bouhanifia thermal complex and will visit the headquarters of the Mascara regional radio.
A meeting will also be organized between the APN commission and stakeholders in the culture and tourism sectors in the wilaya.
