IDF: Over the past day, IDF, ISA, and Israel Border Police forces began a counterterrorism operation in several areas of northern Samaria.

Over the past year, terrorists from the areas in which security forces are operating have carried out numerous terror attacks against Israeli civilians and security forces.

On the first day of the operation, the security forces searched over 220 sites, questioned dozens of suspects, and apprehended several wanted individuals. Additionally, the forces located weapons, dismantled terrorists’ hiding locations, and confiscated tens of thousands of shekels intended to be used for terror.

The IDF and ISA will continue to operate proactively to prevent the establishment of terrorism in the area and to thwart any threat to the State of Israel. The operation will expand as required.
