UPDATE: IDF investigators now believe an RPG strike—not a planted explosive—injured five soldiers in Rafah. According to the updated probe, Golani reconnaissance troops in eastern Rafah spotted two terrorists surfacing from a tunnel in an area thought to contain numerous Hamas operatives. One of them fired an RPG at a Namer armored personnel carrier, wounding the troops. At least one terrorist was killed on the spot, while the second, despite being hit, escaped back into the area. Forces are currently sweeping the terrain in pursuit of the fugitive attacker.
