JUST IN: Israeli forces carried out an airstrike in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza moments ago, targeting what the IDF describes as a Hamas operative. The strike came after terrorists launched an attack on Israeli troops in Rafah earlier today, violating the ongoing ceasefire.

According to the military, five soldiers were wounded in that incident, one of them seriously. The IDF says the strike was a direct response to the breach, though it has not yet revealed the identity or role of the targeted operative.
