➡️ The government of Javier Milei, through the Ministry of Human Capital, reported a new decrease in poverty and extreme poverty indicators in Argentina, based on a projection prepared with official data.
➡️ According to the information presented, poverty levels continue to decline and show a significant reduction both in the year-on-year comparison and since the beginning of the libertarian administration.
➡️ According to the published estimate, poverty in Argentina stood at 27.5% during the third quarter of 2025, a figure that arises from a projection carried out by the National Council for the Coordination of Social Policies (CNCPS) based on the Income Distribution Report published by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC).
➡️ The percentage represents a year-on-year drop of 10.8 percentage points in relation to the third quarter of 2024, when the indicator reached 38.3%.
🔥 The official statement also underscores the magnitude of the cumulative reduction since the change of government. In that regard, it was indicated that the total decrease since the beginning of President Javier Milei’s administration reaches 27.3 percentage points, after a peak of 54.8% was recorded in the first quarter of 2024, in the midst of the severe economic crisis inherited from Kirchnerism.
