🇧🇷😎📝 — In a handwritten letter from prison addressed to all Brazilians, former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro confirms the nomination of his son, Flávio Bolsonaro, as his candidate for the presidency, and states that this decision is costing him his own freedom:

“LETTER TO BRAZILIANS

Throughout my life I have faced hard battles, paying a high price, with my health and family, to defend what I believe to be best for our Brazil.

In light of this scenario of injustice, and with the commitment not to allow the popular will to be silenced, I make the decision to nominate Flávio Bolsonaro as a pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic in 2026.

I hand over what is most important in a father’s life: his own son, for the mission of rescuing our Brazil. This is a conscious, legitimate decision, supported by the desire to preserve the representation of those who trusted me.

He is the continuation of the path of prosperity that I began long before becoming president, for I believe that we need to resume the responsibility of leading Brazil with justice, firmness, and loyalty to the aspirations of the Brazilian people.
