🇮🇱🇸🇴 – The Berbera Airport in northwest Somaliland is currently undergoing expansion and renovation.
The project began in late September 2025 at the existing military airbase. The logistics and support facilities have been expanded, and an additional identical structure has been under construction since late November.
Twelve underground hangars for fighter jets are also being built.
While Somaliland does not operate fighter jets, Israel — the only state to officially recognize Somaliland — does.
