🇨🇳China has begun converting cargo ships into “aircraft carriers” for UAVs.

China has converted a medium cargo ship into an improvised combat ship – a carrier of modern strike drones. A modular electromagnetic catapult (EMALS) designed for launching aircraft-type drones was installed on the ship’s deck.

In photos from the Hudong-Zhonghua shipyard in Shanghai, near the ship, stealth combat drones with a large wingspan were also spotted, visually resembling the “escort drones” of the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA).
