I finally got news about last night’s situation on the Iranian island of Kish from my parents, who connected via Starlink.
Unfortunately, 11 of our compatriots who were trying to take over a police station were shot and killed with Kalashnikovs.
Also, an intelligence officer who had been threatening people with a handgun was ‘taken care of’ (killed), and his car was set on fire next to Sahel Square.
In short, it was total chaos. It’s terribly crowded again tonight and the sound of gunfire can be heard. Anyway, they agreed to take photos and videos cautiously to send to you if they can.”
