IDF:
In Response to Hezbollah’s Continuous Violations of the Ceasefire Understandings: The IDF Struck an Underground Site Used By Hezbollah For Weapons Storage in Lebanon
Following the strikes conducted earlier today (Sunday), in which shafts used for weapons storage in southern Lebanon were struck, the IDF completed an additional strike later today. As part of the strike, an underground site used for weapons storage belonging to Hezbollah in Lebanon was struck.
The underground site that the IDF struck was previously struck approximately a week ago, after the IDF notified the LAF about the ongoing terrorist activity originating from the site. The LAF inspected the site; however, the terror infrastructure was not fully dismantled. Therefore, today, the IDF struck this site once again.
Prior to the strike, steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians by issuing advance warnings to the population in the area.
Hezbollah’s activity at these sites constitutes a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and poses a threat to the State of Israel.
The IDF will continue to operate to remove any threat posed to the State of Israel.
