🇺🇸🇮🇷It is reported that 24 out of 36 F-16 fighter jets deployed to the Middle East are in the configuration F-16CJ Wild Weasel – a special modification for breaking through air defense systems.
The key feature of these fighter jets is the guidance systems AN/ASQ-213 HARM targeting system – underwing containers capable of passively detecting air defense radar emissions and guiding missiles AGM-88 HARM or AGM-88E AARGM towards them.
In addition, the F-16CJ is also equipped with electronic warfare underwing containers AN/ALQ-184 for deploying active jammers to suppress radar tracking and guidance of air defense systems.
