A ballistic missile fired toward Israel by the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen was successfully intercepted by Israeli air defenses, according to the IDF.

The military reports the missile was neutralized before it could enter Israeli airspace.

No injuries or property damage have been reported.

Warning sirens were activated across central Israel, including areas near Jerusalem and parts of the West Bank.

This incident marks at least the eighth attempted Houthi strike on Israel since March 18, when the IDF intensified operations against Hamas in Gaza.
