AM Best confirms Central Reinsurance Company’s financial strength rating

The international rating agency AM Best has reaffirmed the financial strength rating of B+ (good) for Société Centrale de Réassurance, with a stable outlook, according to a press release published by the public reinsurance company. The press release specifies that “this assessment was also accompanied by the confirmation of the long-term credit rating at “bbb” (good), which reflects the
“stability and solidity of the Central Reinsurance Company”, and at the same time confirms the “solidity of the financial situation of the company and its ability to fulfill its obligations towards its customers and partners, even in a constantly evolving global economic environment”, according to the same source. The statement added that the stable outlook accompanying this rating highlights “the company’s continued positive financial performance, which strengthens its position to face future challenges, while continuing to play its central role in supporting the insurance market domestically and internationally.”
The company is the largest national reinsurance company (active in insuring insurance companies), with a turnover exceeding 50 billion dinars in 2024, compared to 46.5 billion dinars in 2023.
