A suspected “price tag” incident hit Be’er Sheva overnight, with 12 vehicles vandalized in the Nahal Beka neighborhood, smashed windows and widespread damage reported across multiple cars. In Israeli security terms, a “price tag” attack refers to deliberate retaliatory vandalism meant to punish civilians and send a warning message following police or security enforcement, not random crime.

Israel’s Shin Bet is now involved, examining whether the attack was nationalist retaliation linked to recent police enforcement in the nearby Bedouin locality of Tarabin. No arrests have been announced in connection with the Be’er Sheva vandalism so far.
