Abdelhak Saihi pleads for digital transformation

Modernization of public service

The Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Abdelhak Saihi, reaffirmed his department’s commitment to accelerating digital transformation and simplifying administrative procedures, with the aim of improving the quality of services provided to citizens. This declaration was made the day before yesterday, Saturday, during a working session devoted to the evaluation of the activities of the National Fund for Equalization of Social Works (Fnpos), according to a press release from the ministry.

During this meeting, Mr. Saihi underlined “the importance of these meetings which make it possible to monitor the level of application of the recommendations made, to measure the progress of the projects and to evaluate the performance of the establishments under supervision”. He insisted on the need to “accelerate digitalization and simplify administrative procedures in order to strengthen the efficiency of public services and citizen satisfaction”. The minister followed a detailed presentation presenting the results of the Fnpos’s achievements, its main missions as well as the projects currently being developed. These initiatives are part, he said, of an overall strategic vision aimed at strengthening the quality and proximity of public service. Abdelhak Saihi urged those responsible for the Fund to “pursue continuous improvement efforts, through the adoption of modern digital systems guaranteeing the speed of processing of requests and the simplification of administrative formalities”. He also placed emphasis on “coordination between the different structures in the sector to allow citizens to benefit from their rights as quickly as possible”. The minister also insisted on the need to
“strengthen the digital infrastructure of Fnpos”, by developing ergonomic electronic platforms, allowing fluid interaction with users and rapid handling of their concerns remotely.
With this in mind, Mr. Saihi called for the development of a strategic plan for the period 2026-2030, based on “a new management approach focused on performance, transparency and quality of service”. This plan must include the launch of innovative digital platforms, intended to facilitate citizens’ access to Fnpos services, without travel constraints. Closing the session, the minister reiterated “the central administration’s commitment to supporting the Fnpos in achieving its strategic objectives”, emphasizing that this approach is part of an overall dynamic of modernization of the labor and social security sector. He finally called for “increased complementarity between the ministry, its establishments and organizations under supervision, in the service of the legitimate concerns of citizens”.
