An Arab terrorist who murdered Israeli security guard Gidon Peri last year was eliminated this morning, the IDF says.
The terrorist, Sultan al-Ghani, carried out the attack on August 18, 2024 at the Bar-On industrial park near Kedumim, brutally striking Peri, 38, with a hammer before stealing his handgun and escaping.
Overnight, IDF and Shin Bet forces operated south of Jenin, arresting five suspected accomplices linked to al-Ghani.
At dawn, Duvdevan commandos surrounded the building where al-Ghani was hiding. After a brief firefight, he was killed.
During a sweep of the structure, troops uncovered multiple firearms, ammunition, and an explosive device, according to the IDF.
