Arrest of a charlatan charged in a witchcraft case.

As part of the fight against crime in all its forms as well as suspicious activities affecting the values and principles of society, we learn that on 1/11/2025/, elements of the judicial police reporting to the wilaya security brigade of Oum El-Bouaghi specialized in the fight against major crimes recently arrested an individual specialized in the practice of charlatanism and the practice of rituals and witchcraft and the seizure of several objects used in occult rituals as well as prohibited firearms and knives. The operation was carried out following credible information reporting suspicious activity by a fifty-year-old practicing witchcraft rituals in his family home located in a district of the city of Ain Beida. After having issued a search authorization, the police officers who went to the place in question, discovered talismans and various objects used for witchcraft rituals, desecrated copies of the Holy Koran, a homemade Boukari-type firearm, 20 16 caliber cartridges as well as bladed weapons (a knife, a large saber and an axe). Note that all objects used in the practice of witchcraft were transferred to the wilaya security headquarters and that the 50-year-old defendant was recently presented before the Ain Beida court on charges of practicing acts of witchcraft, magic and desecration, possession of a category 4 firearm with ammunition, prohibited category 6 bladed weapons, possession of images and videos obscene character offensive to morals.
