The operation took place “against the backdrop of confirmed information received by the brigade’s elements, reporting a shipment of drugs fraudulently introduced by an individual into the national territory,” the document notes, specifying that this substance “is strange to our society and is internationally prohibited.” “The territorial brigade of the National Gendarmerie of La Fontaine is the first security service to have dealt with this type of drug at the national level,” it was added. “The in-depth investigation into this case has shown that these psychotropic drugs have been introduced since the beginning of January, the date on which the suspect set foot on national soil, from a European country.” After scientific expertise of the hallucinogenic substance at the National Institute of Forensics and Criminology of the National Gendarmerie (INCC/GN) in Bouchaoui, the results showed that this drug contains a hallucinogenic substance with intense hallucinogenic effects compared to other psychotropic drugs.” The accused was brought before the competent courts after finalization of all procedures, the report concludes.
