The Superior Youth Council (CSJ) organized, the day before yesterday Sunday in Algiers, a training workshop on “the constitutional and legal framework of the Presidential Election”, in anticipation of the national awareness campaign for registration on the lists elections that he will launch soon.
In a speech on the occasion, the vice-president of the CSJ, Anis Abdelilah Ailoul indicated that this workshop, which is part of the holding of meetings of the ad-hoc committees of the Council, was supervised by a representative of the National Independent Electoral Authority (ANIE), and a representative of the Constitutional Court.
He added that this workshop will be followed by other workshops with the aim of developing the skills of young people in terms of electoral operation procedures, specifying that the meetings of the ad-hoc commissions of the Council, having started last Thursday at Algiers will end this evening.
Mr. Ailoul specified that as part of the awareness campaign relating to registration on the electoral lists, members of the CSJ will go to villages and popular neighborhoods in all the wilayas of the country with a view to raising awareness of the importance of the electoral operation.
Furthermore, the representative of ANIE, Abderrahmane Chebli affirmed that this workshop was part of the promotion of the active participation of young people in political life, adding that elections were the most important mechanism in the exercise of democracy.
For her part, the representative of the Constitutional Court, Asmaa Bouraoui welcomed the organization of such workshops for the benefit of young people, noting the launch, on the occasion of the next presidential election, of a guide on the practical procedures of appeals electoral matters before the Constitutional Court and this, via the official website of the Court for the benefit of the press, which understands the terminology used and which must not depart from the constitutional and legal context.
