An anti-Muslim attack was perpetrated this Tuesday, September 23 against the Teisseire mosque in Grenoble on Tuesday, September 23, in the south-east of France when a hooded individual entered the place of worship to attack the faithful with the prayer of the dawn.
The individual rushed to the faithful who were preparing to accomplish the prayer of El Fadjr, one of the five daily prayers of the Muslim religion, before fleeing when he was dissuaded by the defensive reaction of three faithful who tried to neutralize him.
Local police were alerted by the victims of the assault. An investigation was opened to find the attacker and determine the mobile of his act. Following this attack, the administration of the mosque invited, in a message broadcast on social networks, the faithful to show extreme vigilance against similar acts of violence.
The Teisseire district is one of the districts with a strong Muslim community in Grenoble.
These attacks have become commonplace in France. The Echirolles mosque in Grenoble has also been the subject of several anti -Muslim acts.
Anti -Muslim graffiti were registered on the walls of the mosques while pork heads were deposited at the entrance to the prayer rooms.
This umpteenth attack against Muslims in France is involved in a climate of anti -Muslim and anti -foreigner hatred which rises crescendo fueled by the extremist discourse of the racist right and prosionist circles, especially within the French media.
