The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamal Badari, affirmed, Sunday, from Tébessa, that the Algerian University has today become an “engine of national development in various fields”.
In a speech delivered on the occasion of the inauguration of an amphitheater at the Faculty of Economic, Commercial and Management Sciences of the “Martyr Cheikh Larbi Tebessi” University in the same province, the minister explained that “taking into account the developments that the university has experienced in recent years, it has become a symbol of the transformation of ideas and research projects into economic products that contribute to local and national development, which has made it an engine of development”. He added: “The university now has a clear vision to transform student projects into products that can be manufactured and marketed, instead of remaining confined to sheets of paper and drawers. »
He stressed that “the highest authorities of the country aspire to reach the threshold of 20,000 start-ups created by university students by 2029, in addition to thousands of micro-enterprises, which allows us all to contribute to the construction of a new and victorious Algeria. »
For his part, the director of the University of Tébessa, Professor Abdelkrim Kouasmia, revealed that this establishment has obtained 54 patents and recorded the accreditation of 13 micro-enterprises and 5 start-ups, which highlights the excellence of its students in this field and reflects the quality of the training received.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research began his visit to the State of Tébessa by inspecting the annexes of the Faculty of Medicine and the Higher Normal School of the “Martyr Drid Abdelmajid” university campus. He went there to examine the students’ training conditions and discover some of their innovative projects.
