Baddari inaugurates a new university center in Boulhaf Dir

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari, chaired on Thursday in the commune of Boulehaf Dir (wilaya of Tébessa) the inauguration ceremony of the new university center “chahid Drid Abdelmadjid”. In a statement to the press on the sidelines of his working visit to this wilaya in the company of the Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, Lakhdar Rekhroukh, Mr. Baddari affirmed that this new university structure “will allow students to carry out their courses and scientific research in better conditions, so as to train innovative researchers and students who adhere to scientific life and will contribute to the development process of this border wilaya, closely linked to the higher education sector.”
He added that the inauguration of this structure equipped with the necessary amenities is part of the government’s 2021-2024 work program aimed at consolidating student reception capacities and offering them the necessary services.
“The University of Tébessa has achieved its operational objectives in relation to the program of the President of the Republic and his 41st commitment to make the university a framework for teaching, development and innovation,” said Mr. Baddari, stressing that “all objectives have been successfully achieved in the field of higher education, scientific research, entrepreneurship and innovation.” According to the explanations given on site by the local director of public facilities, Brahim Baouta, in the presence of the wali, Saïd Khalil, this new center built on an area of 45 hectares for an envelope of more than 4 billion DA offers 8,000 teaching places spread over the two faculties of letters and languages and human and social sciences as well as the Institute of sports and physical activities.
