Belle moisson pour l’Algérie – Le Jeune Indépendant

IATF 2025: Beautiful harvest for Algeria

A successful edition on all levels.

Without any question, the intra-African trade fair (IATF 2025) held from September 4 to 10 has kept all its commitments. In the opinion of both African officials, including senior officials from several countries present in Algiers for the occasion, as well as all of Algerian, African and even those from other continents, the report is unanimous: the IATF 2025 is a successful edition on all levels.

The good points were awarded to Algeria for its flawless organization of the “continental party” by all of those who took part in this event. To this is added the beautiful part that Algeria has had in terms of contracts concluded and those being finalized, the latter having largely exceeded the objectives drawn initially, with a kitty of 23 billion dollars, that is 23.6 % of the overall volume contracts of $ 48.3 billion.

The success of the Algiers edition of the IATF was widely praised by the participants who did not fail to note that this success was made possible thanks to the strict instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which made a rigorous follow -up of all the stages of preparation, from the beginning to the end, in order to make it an exceptional meeting by the organization and the colossal logistics set up for thousands of people take part. An exceptional edition also with regard to the quality of the guests, speakers and themes debated.

Also, in addition to the good deals materialized by many participating companies in terms of commercial contracts and intra-African partnership projects, the different round tables, conferences and B to B and B to G meetings have represented spaces that highlighted the challenges facing the continent. Because Africans are aware that the path is still long before they can meet all the needs of the countries of the continent and their populations.

At the same time as they think of increasing their trade, these countries also reflect on how to increase intra-African investments, but without closing the door to potential investors from outside the continent. For this, they are also aware that they need to transfer technology and know-how that will bring them developed countries, after it is established, today, that the time of turnkey projects, which are not in measures to emancipate them in their approach of industrial and technological evolution, is over. Realizing intra-African integration while taking advantage of the best of what is done in the world is therefore the credo of African countries.

Reacting at the end of the IATF, the Algerian Confederation of Citizen Employers (CAPC) praised the historical success of this 4e edition stressing that this continental event has marked “a decisive step for African economic integration and the influence of Algeria”. She considered that the contracts that have marked this event demonstrated “the vitality of African exchanges and the central place of Algeria”, adding that this success “goes beyond the economic dimension to confirm the attractiveness, stability and organizational capacity of our country which asserts itself as a strategic hub for intra-African trade and international investments”.

The employers’ organization stresses that African and international investors now recognize the solidity of the Algerian economy outside hydrocarbon and the quality of its companies. She claims that she will continue her commitment to work alongside public authorities and economic partners to transform this dynamic into concrete opportunities for African growth, innovation and integration. The IATF 2025 ended last Thursday by having respected all its commitments. Appointment is made in Nigeria for the next edition in 2027.
