🇧🇷📝🇺🇸⚖️ — Brazilian congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), currently in self-exile in the United States, issued a statement expressing regret over the removal of sanctions by Donald Trump’s administration against Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Alexandre de Moraes, saying this outcome is the responsibility of the Brazilian people who “gave up on their own country”

“PUBLIC STATEMENT

We received with regret the news of the most recent decision announced by the American government. We are grateful for the support that President Trump has shown throughout this path and for the attention he has dedicated to the grave crisis of freedoms afflicting Brazil.

We regret that Brazilian society, when faced with the window of opportunity it had in its hands, was unable to build the political unity necessary to confront its own structural problems. The lack of internal cohesion and the insufficient support for the initiatives conducted abroad contributed to the worsening of the current situation.

We sincerely hope that President Donald Trump’s decision is successful in defending the strategic interests of the American people, as is his duty. As for us, we will continue working, firmly and resolutely, to find a path that allows for the liberation of our country, for as long as necessary and despite adverse circumstances.

May God bless America, and may He have mercy on the Brazilian people.

Eduardo Bolsonaro
Paulo Figueiredo”
