Israeli police in the Central District arrested a local man in his 20s this morning who was allegedly plotting an imminent terror attack in Ramla.

The suspect had posted chilling threats online, declaring his intent to strike in the city. Acting swiftly, officers from the Ramla station tracked him down and moved in for the arrest.

As police closed in, the suspect’s dog violently attacked one of the officers. Fearing for his life, an officer opened fire and neutralized the animal.

Another man who tried to interfere and assaulted the officers during the arrest was also taken into custody.

Police say the suspect’s detention likely prevented a serious attack. Both men are now under interrogation, and authorities are seeking an extension of their arrest as the investigation continues.
