The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has endorsed the President’s decree to appoint Ivan Fedorov, the mayor of Melitopol, as the head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast State Administration in its meeting on 23 January.

Background: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree appointing Yurii Malashko as the head of Zaporizhzhia Oblast State Administration in February 2023. Prior to that, Malashko was the acting head of the Anti-Terrorist Centre of the Security Service of Ukraine.
