Last Friday, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research indicated that the final registration of new students holding the 2025 baccalaureate will be fully online, without any paper document, from August 10, 2025 to 12:00 am until August 15, 2025, via the digital platform “https://progres.mesrs.dz/webetu/”. “Access to the digital platform is using the account appearing on the certificate of the baccalaureate, then checking the orientation according to the date fixed for each student, indicated on the orientation card,” said the same source.

Registration fees, recalled the same source, are set at 200 DA and those of university transport at 150 DA for the beneficiaries of this service. “These costs must be paid exclusively using the” Edahabia “card,” continued the same source. Finding that the demand for accommodation for the students concerned is via the same digital platform, with the possibility of choosing up to three university residences at most. “After the finalization of the registration, the student directly obtains his multi -service virtual university card, downloadable from his smartphone”.

During a press conference held at the headquarters of the ministry, devoted to the presentation of the orientation results of new graduates (session June 2025), the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari, announced that 70.30 % of the new graduates were oriented towards one of the first three choices expressed. “The results of the digital guidelines for new students highlight a particular interest in scientific and technological specialties,” he said. Stressing that “more than 65.30 % of new graduates opted for these specialties.

Referring to the new school year, the Minister assured that she will be intelligent and cyber-security, based on the principles of digitization and what it offers as procedural equity, the democratization of the university and the preservation of the dignity of the student. “As part of the modernization of the Algerian University and with the aim of making it an incubator of innovation, progress and knowledge economy, university establishments have been endowed this year with the University of Health Sciences, in addition to strengthening the training network, through the introduction of a license in medical English,” he continued.
