On the occasion of the National Day of the National People’s Army, The army general Said Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense, chief of staff of the National People’s Army (ANP), praised the commitment of all military and civilian personnel in the defense of sovereignty, national unity and regional security.
In a tribute supported by the efforts of men and women in uniform, deployed in all regions of the country to ensure his security, the General of Army Chanegriha sent “the greetings and congratulations of the President of the Republic, supreme chief of the armed forces, Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to all the members of our valiant army”, in a message published on the official page of the Ministry of National Defense, this on the eve of this celebration.
In this message full of gravity and recognition, the chief of staff recalled the memory of the martyrs of the war of liberation like that of the martyrs of national duty, who fell to preserve the Republic, calling for remaining faithful to their legacy. “Preserve the deposit of these exceptional men, follow their traces, so that Algeria remains strong and invincible,” he said.
Beyond its constitutional mission of defense of the fatherland, the ANP was also presented as a strategic player in a regional environment under tension. The destabilization of certain neighboring countries, uncontrolled migratory flows, cross -border crime and asymmetrical threats require, according to him, an unprecedented degree of vigilance and mobilization. In this context, the role of the Algerian army is twofold: preserving national sovereignty while contributing to regional stability.
“The fate of independent, secure, stable and sovereign Algeria rests in the hands of its loyal children,” said the army general, highlighting the importance of facing the changes in an uncertain world, marked by proteiform threats “.
The message did not fail to return to one of the recent historical turning points of the black decade. The chief of staff welcomed the bravery of the military who, alongside the patriotic forces, stood up to terrorism and prevented the collapse of the State, declaring that they “defeated the obscurantist project which aimed to destroy the nation, and preserved, with an acute conscience, the republican and democratic system”.
