The novel “Coeur d’Amande” by Yasmina Khadra is experiencing a new life: it has just appeared in Pocket format at Pocket and is now available in the bookstores in France, Belgium and Switzerland. Originally released in August 2024, the book thus offers a second diffusion, more accessible, allowing a wider audience to discover the poetic and overwhelming universe of the most translated Algerian writer around the world.
As usual, Yasmina Khadra chose emotion -laden words to present this reissue. He invites his readers not to miss what he describes as “a puff of oxygen in an apnea world”. For the author, Coeur d’Amande was born out of the desire to resist the threats that disturb our moments of serenity: a novel written as an answer to the turbulence of life.
