On Thursday evening, the candidate for the candidacy, Ms. Zoubida Assoul, submitted to the headquarters of the National Independent Authority for Elections (ANIE) at the Palais des Nations (Algiers), her application for the presidential election on September 7. In a statement to the press after submitting her application, Ms. Assoul indicated that her candidacy for the next presidential election was an “important decision to contribute to the development of the country”, stressing that her electoral program “covers several aspects and aims to develop the country, protect the family and achieve progress and economic development.”
In the afternoon, Bel Abbès El Abadi submitted his application. In his statement to the press, he called on citizens to “turn out en masse to the polls on September 7 to choose the right person to lead the country.” Regarding his electoral program, he indicated that he was banking on investing in the great potential that Algeria has. For his part, after submitting his application as an independent candidate, Chaabi Salem praised the citizens who contributed to collecting individual signature subscription forms for this election, committing, in the event of victory, to serve his country and the Algerians. As for the Secretary General of the Algerian Rally (RA) party, Tarek Zeghdoud, he specified that he intended, through his candidacy for this election, “to contribute to the consolidation of the democratic process in our country and the strengthening of national unity.” He explained that his program, with the slogan “Security, Progress and Prosperity,” aimed to “find solutions that can achieve development and meet the aspirations of citizens.”
Abdelhakim Hamadi, who filed his application on Thursday evening, called for “the development of all Algerian institutions”, stressing that “Algeria is the legacy of the Chouhada” of the glorious Liberation Revolution. Abdelhakim Hamadi took the opportunity to praise the experience acquired by ANIE. Also on Thursday evening, Raouf Aib filed his application for the presidential election on September 7. In a statement to the press after filing his application, he considered that “the next presidential election has the positive aspect of bringing together all generations”, affirming that “the contribution of all to building the country is the most important in the current stage”. Raouf Aib further specified that the electoral program that he will propose to the people “is based on preserving the unity and integrity of the country and increasing the value of the national currency”.
