Cyber Alert: In recent hours, an unusual incident has occurred within Israel’s communications sector, with widespread impact on the infrastructure of several providers. According to technical sources, communication lines at Hot Mobile, Cellcom and Partner experienced simultaneous outages, along with additional services not limited to a single provider. A senior infrastructure source said this is a large-scale event, not a localized malfunction.

Preliminary checks point to suspected issues at the DNS layer, including failures involving a Cisco forwarder. Changing the forwarder at the data center partially restored access to certain services, such as Azure, while other websites continued operating normally. The impact on CDN services and Partner’s server farms is also being examined.

There is currently no official confirmation of a cyberattack, but due to the incident’s broad scope, it is under close monitoring. The effect on core infrastructure has placed the situation at the center of attention for security and technology authorities.
