National education: Start of baccalaureate correction

A major operation.

The Ministry of National Education has unveiled a precise timetable for the large-scale operation to correct the copies of the baccalaureate exams of more than 800,000 candidates and for the large network of supervisors and correctors. All means are in place for this operation, which began this Wednesday and will continue until July 15.

In a circular addressed to the education directorates of the wilayas, the department of Belabed affirmed that the development of this calendar and the establishment of a rigorous organization for the correction of the 2024 baccalaureate exams aims to guarantee fair treatment. and efficient exam papers.

Since this Wednesday, the correction centers have opened their doors to welcome the supervisors, responsible for the organization and smooth running of operations. Today, it is the turn of the presidents of the correction juries to arrive. The latter will supervise the work of the correctors and ensure the application of the marking scales. The correction itself, according to the Belabed department, will begin on 1er July, in a secure environment around the centers. Strict measures will be put in place to guarantee the confidentiality of copies and prevent any attempt at fraud.

From June 28, exam papers and computer files will be received and sent to the regrouping centers for the announcement of the results. Each copy will be identified by a unique number and linked to the candidate’s file. The education departments have been instructed to submit the necessary files, including exemption and disability authorizations, candidate placement plans, as well as exit authorizations. These documents will allow the correctors to evaluate the copies in the best possible conditions and to take into account the particular situations of certain candidates.

From 1er by July 5, the correction will be in full swing. The proofreaders, recruited for their expertise in their respective fields, will evaluate each copy carefully and rigorously. They will be based on precise and unified rating scales, developed by commissions of national experts. Note entry, monitoring and coordination with the aggregation centers will be carried out meticulously to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the results.

Correctors play a central role in the process of correcting baccalaureate exams. Their mission is to evaluate each paper with rigor and impartiality, based on the marking scales and instructions provided by the Ministry of National Education. They must demonstrate great concentration, expertise in their disciplinary field and an ability to analyze and grade complex work. Their involvement and professionalism are essential assets to guarantee the quality and reliability of the baccalaureate results.

The combined efforts of the ministry, supervisors, correctors and the various actors involved will, according to the same source, provide candidates with reliable results as quickly as possible, this stage marking the culmination of their educational journey and paving the way to new future prospects for high school graduates.

From July 6 to 12, the computer correction files will be transmitted to the central unit of the Ministry of National Education. A team of inspectors and statisticians will verify and validate the scores. The final grades will then be finalized on CD and transmitted to the national regrouping center on July 13 and 14. It is from this date that the results long awaited by the candidates will finally be revealed.
