Start of work of the 8th session of the Algerian-Omani Joint Commission

The work of the 8th session of the Algerian-Omani Joint Commission began yesterday Wednesday in Algiers and is jointly chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf and his Omani counterpart, Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud al Busaidi.
The day before yesterday, Tuesday, experts held preparatory meetings for the 8th session of the Algerian-Omani Joint Commission, whose work was co-chaired by Ambassador Noureddine Khendoudi, Director General in charge of Arab countries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, and his Omani counterpart, Sheikh Faisal bin Omar bin Said al Marhoon, head of the department of Arab countries at the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
These meetings were devoted to the examination of cooperation and partnership files in several sectors of common interest and to the definition of new paths capable of breathing new dynamism into Algerian-Omani relations, in accordance with the wishes and the guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his brother the Sultan of Oman, Haitham ben Tariq.
The two delegations also developed a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding, to proceed with their signature, yesterday Wednesday, during the meeting of the joint commission at ministerial level.
