Facilitation for obtaining approvals for investors and producers

Pharmaceutical industry:

The Minister of the Pharmaceutical Industry, Ouacim Kouidri, announced Monday in Tizi-Ouzou that facilitations for obtaining approvals will be granted to producers and investors in the field of manufacturing medical devices.
During a working and inspection visit to the wilaya of Tizi-Ouzou, where he inspected projects in his sector, Mr. Kouidri said that the wilaya currently had seven (7) medical device production units. The minister noted “strong dynamics in this area” and assured that his department “encouraged this industry, because the import bill for these products remained very high and it was therefore necessary to produce them locally”.
To this end, he announced that “facilitation for obtaining approvals will be granted to producers and investors in the production of medical devices”. “We encourage those who already produce or wish to do so throughout Algeria,” he said, addressing the private sector, also stressing that the Saidal group is established throughout Algeria.
He added that the wilaya of Tizi-Ouzou could become “a production center for medical devices”.
